Grants to digitalise associations in 2025

Digitalising an association costs money. But there are public grants that can cover a large part of the cost. If your association needs a new website, a member management system or digital training for the board, these grants can fund it.

Grants available in 2025

  • Kit Digital (Red.es): grants for the digitalisation of small non-profit organisations. It covers website creation, member management, social media presence and cybersecurity. Amount: from €2,000 up to €12,000 depending on the size of the organisation.
  • Grants from your autonomous community: each autonomous community publishes annual calls for associations. Search “grants for associations [your region] 2025” on Google.
  • Help from your town council: many town councils have grant lines for neighbourhood and cultural associations. They usually range from €500 to €3,000.
  • Fundación ONCE: for associations working with people with disabilities, there is specific funding for digital accessibility.

How to apply step by step

  1. Identify the right grant: don’t apply for a €12,000 grant if your association has 30 members. Look for the one that fits your size and needs.
  2. Prepare the documentation: statutes, tax ID number, proof of being up to date with the tax authority and Social Security, and the previous year’s activity report.
  3. Define the digitalisation project: “we need money to digitalise” is not a project. “We need €2,000 to: (a) rebuild the association’s website with a member management system, (b) train the board in digital tools, (c) build a social media presence” is.
  4. Apply before the deadline: most grants have very short windows (30–60 days). Subscribe to your autonomous community’s newsletters so you don’t miss them.
  5. Look for free advice: many regions have association advisory offices. They are free and help you with the paperwork.

Digitalising your association is not an expense. It’s an investment that pays for itself in the time you save. And with these grants, it may cost you nothing. Start with Convoca, which is free →
